Service Overview
A chemical or heat burn to the eye is an emergency. Alkali (drain cleaner, lime, some soaps) keeps eating tissue until it is washed out. Acids and flames destroy the surface quickly.
If something splashed, start rinsing with clean water now and come in. Do not wait for a “good” appointment slot.
After the acute wash, treatment is staged: control inflammation, protect the surface, then rebuild if stem cells or the cornea have been lost.
We cannot promise a clear cornea after a severe alkali burn. Honesty about scarring, glaucoma risk and the need for later SLET or transplant is part of care — not an afterthought.

Irrigation starts immediately — even before paperwork.

Bring earlier reports, your current glasses, and a list of eye drops or medicines. Tell us about diabetes, allergies, blood thinners, and any recent redness or injury.
Follow the plan you are given — observation, drops, or a procedure date. Avoid rubbing the eye. Call us the same day if pain, redness, or blurred vision gets worse instead of settling.

I recently underwent Topography-guided PRK (Contoura) surgery here, and my experience was absolutely fantastic. I had a high cylindrical power (-3.25) and was honestly a bit nervous, but Dr. Neera agrawal and the entire staff made me feel completely at ease.
