Service Overview
This is a topography-guided form of LASIK. A detailed map of your cornea’s surface helps the laser treat not only your glasses power but also small shape irregularities.
If you are tired of specs for gym, monsoon and screens, this is still specs-removal surgery — not a different disease.
Both eyes are usually treated in one sitting, under drops, in about 10 to 15 minutes. You walk out the same day.
It is not for thin, irregular or keratoconus-suspect corneas. If the map is wrong for Contoura, we stop and talk about SMILE, PRK or ICL instead.

Topography and thickness to see if Contoura is safe.
Untreated dryness is treated or LASIK is deferred.
A femtosecond laser creates the thin flap when that method is chosen.
The excimer laser reshapes using your map as well as your power.
Day 1, week 1 and month 1 checks.
Who It Is For
Prescription should have been stable for about a year.
Sports, travel, or simply not hunting for specs every morning.
If maps show thinning or a cone, we will not treat with this laser.
Cost

There is no single figure that fits every eye. The technique, whether one or both eyes are treated, and any other condition found on examination can change the plan.
Your scans, the treatment that suits your eye, and whether extra care is needed for a second condition. The written estimate lists what is included before a date is fixed.
How It Works
No injection. You should not feel pain — pressure is common.
A thin flap is created with a femtosecond laser.
A few seconds per eye reshape the cornea to your map and power.
The flap is smoothed; it seals without stitches.
A microscope check, then rest at home. Screens usually in 24–48 hours.
Before and after
What the first days look like depends on whether this is a scan, medical treatment, or a procedure. At Neera Eye Centre we explain drops, precautions, and the review date before anything is scheduled.
Bring earlier reports, your current glasses, and a list of eye drops or medicines. Tell us about diabetes, allergies, blood thinners, and any recent redness or injury.
Follow the plan you are given — observation, drops, or a procedure date. Avoid rubbing the eye. Call us the same day if pain, redness, or blurred vision gets worse instead of settling.

I recently underwent Topography-guided PRK (Contoura) surgery here, and my experience was absolutely fantastic. I had a high cylindrical power (-3.25) and was honestly a bit nervous, but Dr. Neera agrawal and the entire staff made me feel completely at ease. They took the time to explain exactly why PRK was the safest and best option for me. The procedure was incredibly smooth, and my recovery is going exactly as they guided.
