MIGS (Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery) is a family of procedures that improve the eye’s drainage using microscopic stents or a gentle opening of the natural canal — without creating a large trabeculectomy bleb. Pressure drop is usually more modest than a trabeculectomy, but recovery is quicker and the risk of a very low pressure is lower. MIGS is often chosen for mild-to-moderate open-angle glaucoma, especially when a cataract is being removed at the same sitting.

How It Works
Field OCT, gonioscopy, and pressure targets decide if MIGS is enough.
Through a small corneal incision a stent is placed or the canal is opened.
Drops are tapered as pressure settles; fields and OCT continue as before.

I recently underwent Topography-guided PRK (Contoura) surgery here, and my experience was absolutely fantastic.
