Service Overview
Gonioscopy uses a special contact lens on the eye so the doctor can see the trabecular meshwork — the drain that lets fluid leave the eye. You cannot judge this drain with a normal torch exam. The finding decides whether you have open-angle glaucoma, a narrow angle at risk of closure, or pigment/pseudoexfoliation deposits. That choice changes drops, laser iridotomy, and surgery advice.

How It Works
The surface is anaesthetised; you sit at the slit lamp.
A mirrored lens rests gently on the eye so the angle comes into view.
The doctor grades all four quadrants and explains drops, laser, or follow-up.
