Service Overview
Femto or bladeless cataract surgery uses a femtosecond laser to make the corneal opening and the capsule opening, and to pre-soften the cloudy lens, before the surgeon removes it with ultrasound (phaco).
You still have the same problem as any cataract: faded print, yellow whites, glare from headlights. The laser does not treat a different disease — it changes how some of the steps are done.
The visit is still day-care. Drops numb the eye. You stay awake. Most people go home the same day.
It is not required for every cataract. Many eyes do very well with standard micro-incision phaco. We offer femto when extra planning for a premium lens or a complex cornea will actually help — not as a package everyone must buy.

The laser makes the small corneal entry and the round capsule opening.
The cataract is pre-softened so less ultrasound energy is needed.
The lens is removed and your chosen artificial lens is placed.
Observation, shield, drops, then home — as with standard cataract surgery.

Cost
At Neera Eye Centre, Darya Ganj, cataract surgery costs between ₹19,000 and ₹1,40,000 per eye as a composite package. Monofocal lenses start at ₹19,000, advanced monofocal and toric from ₹50,000, EDOF from ₹60,000 and trifocal from ₹65,000. The lens you choose moves the figure most.
The price is quoted per eye, as a single composite package rather than a list of separate charges. The range within each lens category reflects the specific lens model, whether astigmatism correction is needed, and the complexity of your eye.

The composite package is a single all-in figure for that eye. It covers the surgeon's fee, the intraocular lens itself, operation theatre and day-care charges, the pre-operative scans used to calculate your lens power, and your scheduled post-operative follow-up visits.
Costs outside the package are told to you upfront: the initial consultation, treatment for any separate eye condition found during examination, and the second eye, which is quoted as its own package.
Four things move the figure: the lens category you choose, whether you need astigmatism correction, the surgical technique used, and whether you are having one eye or both done.
How It Works
The eye is numbed. You should not feel pain. A docking interface rests gently on the eye for the laser.
In under a couple of minutes the laser completes the planned openings and softening.
The surgeon removes the cataract and places the IOL through the same small opening.
A short check, then home the same day with drops and an eye shield.
Before and after
What the first days look like depends on whether this is a scan, medical treatment, or a procedure. At Neera Eye Centre we explain drops, precautions, and the review date before anything is scheduled.
Bring earlier reports, your current glasses, and a list of eye drops or medicines. Tell us about diabetes, allergies, blood thinners, and any recent redness or injury.
Follow the plan you are given — observation, drops, or a procedure date. Avoid rubbing the eye. Call us the same day if pain, redness, or blurred vision gets worse instead of settling.
